Frequent ping timeouts on servers with busy HDD

Whether it's biboumi shuffling around its huge untrimmed log database, or just a cryptocurrency node importing its blockchain on the same HDD, it results in biboumi failing to answer to freenode's pings (256 seconds?) a few times a day and not even trying to reconnect back.
