Keep biboumi running even if XMPP server is down / not up yet

I’d like biboumi to record history of persistent channels even if the XMPP server is down or not yet up.

So in both scenarios:

  • Biboumi just started and cannot reach the XMPP service
  • Biboumi is running an the connection to the XMPP service is lost

Biboumi should keep running and keep the connection to the IRC alive and continue to log traffic in persistent rooms and 1:1 traffic to users.

We’ll have to think about (especially in the second case) how to deal with existing MUC-joined XMPP clients.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have admin enable hashed storage. More information
