Consider using stable branch of Botan or any other crypto library

Hi,

I'm trying to provide encryption support for biboumi in Debian but there is no botan1.11 available there. I contacted the current maintainer of botan1.10 who told that 1.11 was never released and the effort was closed with release of botan 2.x versions. There will be botan2.x package in Debian but no 1.11 which means I won't be able to provide encryption support for biboumi in Debian.

I checked the upstream site and it suggests following

The 1.10 branch is the last version of the library written in C++98 and is still the most commonly packaged version. It is no longer supported except for critical security updates (with all support ending on 2018-1-1), and the developers do not recommend its use anymore.

The latest 1.10 release is 1.10.15 (sig) released on 2017-01-12

So can you consider switching biboumi to use stable 2.0.1 branch of botan or any other crypto library?.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have admin enable hashed storage. More information
