Reduce verbosity on connect?

When I connect to an IRC network, I get a ton of messages (currently: 21) from the server. It would be nice if I could either suppress them (for example, I don't care about RPL_LUSER* or MOTD) or if they weren't normal messages (however, I don't know what else they could be). Ideally, I'd like to have an ad-hoc command to suppress every message the server sends in the first few seconds after every connect (only leaving me with "Connecting to … (encrypted)", "Connected to IRC server (encrypted)." generated by biboumi itself).

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
